Happy Father's day

Two years has gone since I've rewrote this blog. There have been changes in life both personal and professional. I am changing this around again to try and find the best fit for me. Writing is slowly going on, small businesses is still being worked and life sometimes still gets in the way. Yet I wouldn't change my journey (except for the death of loved ones) for the world.

Going with an Idea

Two posts in one month! SHOCKER! Kidding aside, I was given an idea on a discussion post by a fellow student (yes I am still in college). The idea was smaller posts (which we love) and book reviews which is something I've been thinking about as well. Additionally, I will include some travel details (I'm going camping tomorrow, so yay).  So, look for that, but the blog coloring and look will change as I tweak it around to what feels right. Until Thursday or Friday once I'm rested from the trip.

oops happy late memorial day 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I know this is late but this year so far hasn't been easy. First, to those who lost someone who was in the service of our armed forces, my thoughts are with you. Second, I can't believe it's been six months into the new year already.

Small business worker update, Valentine's Day week was hell week. We did our normal prep from January to February and while that helped we still sold out of a lot of flowers. After Valentine's Day, we lost a co-worker. So I was on 10-hour work shifts until this coming week actually. We do have a third person and she is working out great right now.

March though was the fun month I'd say. That is when we get our plugs for outdoor plants in. Planting them into either 5-inch pots or larger pots and once they are grown enough we do put together patio pots.
Mother's Day was some of the same as Valentine's Day but with the added bonus of having our outdoor plants go on sale.

Between the exhaustion of working 10-hour days and winter finally going into spring, I haven't had the energy to write much. I wrote notes on and off, trying to get a better feel for the chapters, cleaned the apartment more, and had my nephews over (like usual). Also getting ready for my nephews to be here for the summer. Yesterday (Saturday) I crashed from everything and just had a drained day. I did start reading a thick book to relax some and Scamp did not let me out of his sight much. Every time I moved he came running up and giving me the look. I'm not allowed to move look.

I am reading For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn. Yes, the Sea.ya. Later creator of the Hellp desk hells belles on TikTok herself. I did read it at first on the archive of our own website where she first published it. I am excited that it is a solid book now and just found out she is working on book 2.
To make this short (mainly cause I am still tired) Happy June 1st everyone. May this month not go too fast for everyone.
